Case study:
Creation of a cybersecurity course and an LMS platform.

Client
HackerU is a leading digital technology training institute and a global provider of tech education, cybersecurity services, and advanced knowledge transfer.
Challenge
HackerU wanted to launch a university-level cybersecurity program for higher education students in North America. The goal was to create a course with cutting-edge technical content, an engaging and immersive learning experience, and a visually appealing interface — all seamlessly integrated into their Canvas LMS environment.
Solution
ONODO designed the course’s user interface directly within the client’s Canvas LMS and developed digital and multimedia content for a program structured into eight modules: Introduction to Cyber Security, Cyber Security Research, Network Fundamentals, Windows OS & Virtualisation, Linux OS, Network Attacks, Cyber Attack Cycle, Countermeasures and Defence.
Each module combined theory, hands-on exercises, and interactive multimedia resources. The course also included review questions, assessments, and completion certificates to track and validate student progress.
Results
- Successful launch of the course in North American universities, enabling HackerU to expand its presence in the U.S. higher education market.
- Increased student satisfaction due to an immersive learning experience and interactive multimedia content.
- Improved knowledge retention, supported by data tracked in the Canvas LMS.
- Strengthened academic reputation: the course met North American higher education standards, positioning HackerU as a leading technology training provider.
- Reduced internal development time thanks to a fully customised design integrated seamlessly into Canvas LMS.
