Case Study:
Creation of a Cybersecurity Course for HackerU

Client

HackerU is Israel’s leading digital technology training institute and a global tech education, cybersecurity services, and advanced knowledge transfer provider.

Challenge

HackerU wanted to launch a university-level cybersecurity program aimed at higher education students in North America. The goal was to create a course with cutting-edge technical content, an engaging and immersive learning experience, and a visually appealing interface — all seamlessly integrated into their Canvas LMS environment.

Solution

ONODO designed the course’s user interface directly within the client’s Canvas LMS and developed digital and multimedia content for a program structured into eight modules: Introduction to Cyber Security, Cyber Security Research, Network Fundamentals, Windows OS & Virtualization, Linux OS, Network Attacks, Cyber Attack Cycle, Countermeasures and Defense.

Each module combined theory, hands-on exercises, and interactive multimedia resources. The course also included review questions, assessments, and completion certificates to track and validate student progress.

Results

  • Eight-module course designed and fully prepared for deployment in U.S. university programs.
  • Custom UI adapted to Canvas LMS with a smooth and intuitive user experience.
  • Built-in assessments and certificates to strengthen learning and validate skills.
  • Multimedia resources that enhance knowledge retention and student engagement.
  • Content aligned with North American higher education standards and current cybersecurity workforce needs.
